Default '65 Front end question

Ok, so I'm new to this forum and i have a question. I have a 1965 Mustang that has a v6 front end. When I purchased this car the PO had installed a 289 and that was it. So I was left with 4 lugs all the way around. Well I found a donor '67 that had the original 289. I have since replaced the axle so I'm cool there. I removed the front spindles and brakes from the donor 67 to complete the front end. My question is, what else is needing to be replaced? Like, will the outer tierods work or do I need to replace those?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Having the larger brakes in the rear gets a little hairy when making quick stops!!

I would take the springs too. (front and back). Are the brakes different? Did you go from drum to disc? If so, maybe the combo valve too.

You will need the following front steering parts:
Drag Link (center link)
Inner and outer tie rods
Tie rod adjusters
Idler arm
Pitman Arm
The 65, 66 spindles are also different than the 67

65/66 stangs I6 and v8 front ends were different. everything after I6 and v8s all used the same suspension components. auto to manual steering components were also different in terms of tie rods. Manual use the same auto uses two different tie rods.

Ok so I pretty much need everything. I took the brake backing plates off of the '67 so really all i would need there is the hardware, shoes, and the cylinder. I forgot to mention that I do have manual steering. And I recently just replaced the springs, saddles and the sway bar.

So I guess my next question would be, should I just go buy some '65 v8 spindles and go that route? Or would I still have to replace all that junk because of the differing I6 and V8 configurations?

And again, thank you guys for the answers! I have just recently tried to jump into working on this thing from being on hiatus because of a recent '93 Jeep YJ Wrangler purchase!
