Default Are my shocks blown???

I have a set of M+ Grab-a-Trak shocks that came with my suspension kit when I got it a while back (couple of years) the shocks have maybe 500 miles on them. I tore my suspension down yesterday to clean everything up and noticed the shock take a while to return to extended position. Is this normal. I know they are low pressure nitrogen shocks. Anyway for me to check and see if they are still good? This is them.

Also, can anyone recommend a brand of shocks that I should consider. Some daily driving, some weekend crusing, and autocross once a month.

Shocks should slowly and steadily expand when released from their compressed position. I changed the shocks on my car several years ago but I think it took maybe 3-5 seconds for my shocks to go from fully compressed to fully expanded.

I've always been happy with the KYB shocks I bought from mustangs plus. I replaced the rear shocks and leaf springs at the same time and it made all the difference in the world from that sagging, worn out stock suspension. They were cheap and have been very reliable.

yeah depending on what the compression rebounding is on them, it will take more or longer for come back up, i wanna say that thats about right since its a fairly low price but good shock. i bet your fine. as long as you dont have to pull them to come up! haha

edit: holy crap that made no sence. lets try this again

They sounds like they're ok, but if you're autocrossing I think you should seriously consider some KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. Better handling, but still streetable.

Why not get adjustables, mellow on the street, stiff on the track. I myself went with Koni's.

Nobody I've ever talked to considers Konis "mellow" on the street:P
