Default shock recommendations

Hey guys! I've got a quick question about shocks. I've got a '66 coupe efi conversion, AOD, 8" rear w/ 3.55 gears, subframe connectors and traction bars, all new stock replacement suspension parts, but did upgrade to 5 leafs in the rear and 620lb 1" drop springs in the front. I have KYB GR2 shocks all around, just curious what shocks would be recommended, I appreciate any help.

Edelbrock Performer IAS. Number of people here have been happy with them. I'll be installing ours sometime next week.

I'm very happy with my Edelbrocks. The RICOR inertial valving is really noticeable. With your 620 coils and 5 leaf springs, I think you'll need the smoother ride they provide over KYB Gas-A-Justs.

I'd also recommend roller coil spring perches. I actually broke one of my front shocks last year, and I blame my (at the time) OE style spring perches for side loading the shock. Roller perches will allow your coils to act like they should, rather than binding up. You'll end up with a smoother, more responsive front end.
