eletrical problem

It's OK to post the same question on other boards. The more info the better. He did post this same incident 2X here within several days. I hope he can figure the problem out on his own. It's always nice when someone that doesn't know anything about working on cars can fix something.

pulling the postive cable off is a must to narrow things down,,, as it means the chargeing/volt reg is messed up or a short somewhere ....also waht's the volt's that you get when you put a meter to it,,,it should be roughly+/- 14.5 volts,,, I don't see the starter solenoid as an issue as if you jump it ,,it turns and starts,,,( not to say it could'nt have a short),,,, but if volt's reading is whacked... go for the regulator
