Default Anyone used a Sears Engine Analyzer

http://reviews.ebay.com/SEARS-CRAFTS...00000001342626

Do any of you use this to time your engine? Or do you do use the Timing Light?
I am just curious! Also, if you use the Analyzer, what do you usually use? The RPM or the Dwell?

Thanks!

Eh, gimme a DMM, a test light, and a timing light any day. Only reason I could see for needing something like that is if you're still running points...in which case, shame on you:P

same here. i use a multimeter and a proper bright timing gun and good vacuum gauge and that should be it for tuning ignition and carb and something to measure rpms with.
a dwell meter is only needed for points and if you still have them there are a lot of multimeters that measure dwell and rpms as well (the car type MM).
But then again if you can get the full set on ebay for 40$, why not. I just think it's a bit bulky :-)

i bought one about 20 years ago and i do use it from time to time. i do find it useful to have an accurate tach under the hood. i agree with kalli, it is a bit bulky.
