I have the Igniter II and the flame thrower coil. It made a big improvement. I decided to bypass the pink resistor wire by running a direct wire parallel to it (but left the pink resistor wire in place). That way if the Igniter module ever does have a problem, I can swap the old coil and points back in, and clip the bypass wire to let the resistor wire do the work.

I also went to low resistance plug wires to get more power to the plugs.

that's exactly what I have. before you bang it on make sure the screw for the vacuum canister is tight (so the vacuum canister doesn't rattle). Will cause all sorts of problems. Other than that I love it.

So did you get it installed? What do you think? I am just about to order the Ignitor III because CJ Pony Parts is having a sale. I think it's about the same as the II except it has a rev limiter.

Yes, I got it and i put it in. It was one of the easiest things I have done to the car. I bypassed the resistor wire and just ran a new wire from the ignition. I noticed that the car runs smoother and may have a little more power. I plan on opening up my spark plug gap a little bit and may see a little more improvement when I do that. I would say that it is worth it if it's on sale.

I have Pertronix Ignitor II and flamethrower coil and it's great. I can't see anyone ever going back to points again.

You will see a difference in idle quality and the way it starts. With the ignitor and stock coil on my 200 it starts and idles great!
