Default 350GT stripes ...

Hi all,

I'm considering such a stripe kit in white. The car is dark metallic blue so it _might_ look cool. The reason i want them is simply because nothing on the car is original anymore, so why not. it looks quicker :-)

I'll try with photoshop to get something together. I'll stay away from the two go faster stripes though (too much for my taste on a coupe).

As for the "GT350" itself. I would like to change that to something else. Since that doesn't relate to my car in any way.
So I thought maybe "302K" (for kalli, not for k-code). i don't know. no good ideas.

What you lads think? go for it? leave it off? any other badging ideas?
"300EXP" would be cool as well :-)

I think the GT350 would look very good.

i like the idea of changing what's written below the front emblem.

i saw a guy in town here the other day driving a 68 fastback, pretty much a spittin' image of the Bullitt car...beautiful.

anyways, the guy had black stripes down below but instead of saying GT350 or GT500 or whatever, it said "BULLITT"

i thought it was a pretty neat idea

I think the stripe idea could be alright. I'm not usually a big fan of stripes though. That photoshop of the white stripe looks decent. I think I like it better with out the stripe though. However if it is a decal, you can always take it off later when you get tired of it.

If you want to dress up the side of the body a bit, you could put the rocker panel moldings on it. I have them on mine. I also have 302 emblems that are made to look like the 289 ones.

You could also do a white C stripe. I don't see many Mustangs with those anymore.

that's plenty of good ideas.
rocker panel looks nice, but I thoight about the stripes because it gives it a bit of a go-faster look
don't have 289 or 302 badging, but it's an option. will think about that.

The C-stripes is something for 68-ish cars I think, not for our early ones

The reason I thought about the C stripe is because this months car on my Mustang calender is actually a blue 65 coupe like ours with a white C stripe.

Here is a link to it. I like the C stripe better for a non Shelby or GT coupe.

he stole my car :-)
never seen the c-stripe on a 65 before. it's actually a 64-1/2 as well. looks cool, but I think he deleted the 3/4 panel ornament

I think the 1/4 panel ornament was an option. The GTs don't seem to ever have it. I think the ornament needs to be there. If I had a GT I would probably put it on.
