How easy or difficult would it be to fit a 460 big block into a 67 fastback

It could happen, but why?

 

You can fit a 460 in my 66 but i went with a 347.

 

I wanted effortless torque with a naturally aspirated easy cam .. motor

 

Then build a 347. You can still make more torque with a 347 in an "effortless" engine than your suspension will hold, unless you spend about $8,000 to upgrade your suspension.

Or if you want even less effort, build a 408, a 351 block will fit a lot easier than a 460.

 

I cant imagine how nose heavy it would be with that in there.......

 

Very, and it would steer like ***. That's the exact problem the 427 Cobras had, fast as hell in a straight line, understeer like a runaway sled(because that's what they were!)

 

a 66 no big block will fit with out cutting the shock towers out.67-73 both the fe and 385 will bolt in.I would build a small block its cheaper.

 

I don't believe the 385 motors will fit in a 67-70 without a little bit of shock tower massaging. They're very wide, almost as wide as mod motors.

 

No they bolt right in on 67-70 tarafield i think is his name on here he has a 429 in a 68 its a tight fit but he didn't have to cut anything but lose the cross member for oil pan room.The fe a 385 are almost the same size the fe is wider tho.
