Default A Few Last Minute Questions

PUtting all the suspension and steering back together over the next few days on my 68 coupe.I cant seem to get the tie rod end all the way into the center steering link like it should, anybody have a suggestion? i can see a gap between the boot and the link. Also, does anybody know a good place to get a good list of complete torque specs? I need them for the tie rod ends, lower control arms, sway bars, strut rods. quite a few thigns really. thanks in advance.

This is the bible I've used in teaching my son on his 68 Mustang. It has all of the torque requirements you listed:

the stud on suspension parts(tie rods) is tapered it will only go so far into the hole which is also tapered

take a quick pic so we can get an idea of whats going on, have you not filled the tie rod with grease?

If you have the correct tie rod end and are puting it in from the bottom, not top, it should fit. It is as simple as either the wrong part or wrong installation method.
