Default Project FM-67

So My new car/project arrived today via auto hauler. My uncle promised me this car several years ago and now because he has nowhere to store has finally sent it to me. He started restoring by purchasing all the interior pieces and began work on the roof where it had pitted from old age. I took it out for a short drive. (Probably the most its been driven in the past 20 years) So far it needs brakes, tranny work, minor engine work, and damn near everything else as well....

I need some guidance tho. Where should I start first? Body? Interior? Engine and Drive train?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Sean

Brakes, then suspension, then tranny and engine. Then tackle body and interior.

If you're going for a complete resto I would strip it down, put it on a rotisserie and do body first. That way you can everything stripped primed, painted, undercoated ect. with out having to worry about taping stuff off or fighting your way around the suspension and drivetrain.

Brakes are shot. It takes alot of pumping and standing on the pedal to stop so im gonna start there. I'm not gonna go for a full restore, I dont have near that much money and this will be my more or less daily driver so i guess its brakes and suspension first.

What are the more reputable sites I can go to that have alot of parts and such for the mustangs?

cj pony parts is my favorite...they give u a big fat catalog...tackle what needs to be done to drive it around then cosmetic...brakes that dont work in a nicely painted car and u have no money to fix for instance is not a good situation

Fix that roof first. It used to have a vinyl top and that destroys the metal. Stop the cancer before it is too late!
