Default vandalized at a car show!

I took my car to its first show today without a glitch. The ride home was a different story. My fan got into my radiator on the way home. I have suspicions that someone bent one of my fan blades in towards the radiator. I have a clutch fan and didnt hear anything out of the ordinary until about two stop lights from the show. When I took off from the light, i heard a clanking noise about 3 times and it stopped. I dont live far from where the show was, so i drove it on home.

The lower cores of my radiator and ONE of my fan blades is folded over and gouged up on the end. My guess is that the bent blade rested on the lower tank of the radiator until the clutch kicked in and then it spun over a couple of times until it wedged in place.

The bearing in the clutch and water pump are tight and you can grab the fan and it has no unwanted movement. There is also 2-2.5 inches gap between the fan and radiator.

I think I was vandalized by a hater.

wow. that sucks especially if its the car in your photos! its a beauty.
I dont know how someone would have that much time to bend a fan blade without anyone noticing though.

That blows.

I can't believe it was vandalized though. Are you sure that something didn't just go wrong? I suppose someone could have done something, but is unlikely at a show.

i suppose anything is possible but i dont understand how it could have happened on its own. anywho, lesson learned on leaving it alone. i will fix it this week and be back on the road in a few days.

on a bright side, i did get lots of compliments on it. that really makes ya proud when you hear others talking about your car that you have put so much in to.

I'm guessing it was just a coincidence.

Reminded me.. I took my car to a show a few weeks ago and a middle-aged woman decided to sit on the hood of my car for a quick rest. WTF!

and thats putting it mildly..

To the OP.. Its hard to think someone at a show would do something like this with so many people around. Do you have many miles on the car prior to the show? Looks like a sweet ride btw.
