Default Chrome dipstick question... Jimmy

I have a chrome aftermarket dipstick on my 302. The specs I have in my shop manual say 5 qts of oil with a filter change, 4 without. With 4 quarts I read "safe max" on my dipstick.
Anyone care to measure from the top down where the "add" "safe" and "Overfill Max" are on a known good dipstick???

i have a question about the dipstick also. when you install it do you jbweld it or anything? or just stick it in and bolt the bracket on??
sorry to go off topic. but figure its better than starting my own thread.

Is that with 4 quarts and just checking the dip stick or after you have run the car and let oil circulate into the oil filter etc.

After I have run it. I didn't install this on the motor so I don't know if it's correct.

I just stuck it in and bolted on the bracket. No problems

I think it is pretty funny. Bet getting hit with one would hurt though.

There isn't any pressure running through/to the dipstick so that isn't any concern really. It'll MAYBE just vent out crankcase fumes. But that's not a bad thing.
