new top convertible

Having a new top installed on 72 convertible. The shop wants 750 and says they use 32 oz. vinyl. Does that sound reasonable. And is there any questions I should ask, before they start. -thanks for any advice

Price wise I say its good, we are getting a 2000 top replaced for $850 around the 1st.
