Interior Change Finished

Here she was before the swap.

After lots of thought, We swapped out the stock gauges with Autometer White Phantoms and went with a USA-630 Stereo to remove the old Din. To finish off, we added a set of Ken Harrison Speaker Pods to cover the old nasty looking kenwwod 6 x 9's.

Since the build is for my wife she absolutely wanted to go with the white phantoms so I had to give in. I was heavily pushing for the back. In the long run the white gauges set the interior off and made it a real focal point for the interior.

Everyone I spoke with bashed the USA-630 saying it was the worst sounding radio they have ever heard, I still ended up going with the Stereo and have been nothing but happy with the quality, looks and performance of the unit. The 630 is the newest unit they made so maybe some major changes were made down the line. I absolutely love the flash drive hook up for mp3's which is hidden in the glove box!

Over all I think it took the interior of the car to a different level, especially getting rid of the old din for the kenwood to continue the camera case black look through out.

Thanks for everyones input on the gauge cluster. Let me know what you guys think.

(oh, and by the way working gauges with a tac is just plain amazing!!!!)

Looks awesome. I like the burnt orange, I would have followed through with the dash too but the black looks good.

Looks great. You are completely right about the white offsetting the black. Good choice on the switch!

Its a Grant GT Wheel. I think Kragen keeps them in stock. The horn with the mustang emblem was special order. Not bad for $125.00. Since the project was a Resto Mod we did away with the old style "granny wheel" and went for something a bit more sporty. Im still not sold on it but at this point a wood grain wheel would be 100% out of place. Its growing on me, so im glad you like it!

I thought of doing the orange, but with the rear speaker deck being black and the black rear seat along with the black vinyl top it all meshed together at the last minute so I though we might go with something most people would not do. I sometimes think that we should have painted it orange but thats what the next project will be for.

I think an orange dash would be too much, looks like a great balance right now.

I really like the changes you've made, looks great!

I like the changes you just made too.

I think the black gauges would have looked better, but it still looks awesome.
