Default Progress

I thought I'd put some pics of the progress made on the 72...

Me making the first early welds

Cutting out the floor

After the floors were replaced

The patch cut for the back corners

I was able to save the passenger seat bracket, but the drivers was shot.
Still waiting for that to get in so the carpet can be installed and I can take it for a drive!

Not sure of the color. It was originally Ivy glow but some past owner wanted to change that...

Going to get back to it next week. Need to build a boiler for the still, get a few other thigns done, and try to get the Cougar running. Busy month really.. I want to get the 71 into paint this year, so we'll see how that turns out.

Coming along, did you do both sides at the same time? Or finished one then the other, how hard was it to remove the seat risers?

guy- i did the driver first and finished it then moved onto the passenger side. Getting the seat bracket out wasnt that hard, just takes a bit more time than if you go into it knowing that the whole thing is trash. So i guess not that bad, just time and patience.

I love my 72 and can't wait to have it movin down the road. Looks like you have it easy compared to me. It was my proudest moment when I got the floors in because I had never donw anything like that and had taugh myself to weld. Yeah there not pretty welds but hey, it's solid and under the carpet I say.
