Hard starting and electrical issues
Well I haven't been on here in a long while. I haven't had the time to work on my car up until a couple days ago. I'm broke right now and don't have money to put into it, so I am trying to address small things, and just work on knowing exactly what I need to do to fix it.
I know the engine could use a rebuild as it burns oil like no other.(It still has most of its power though) I put a new fuel pump on it and adjusted the timing a little and I got her to start yesterday. Ran kind of rough, but the gas is 1 year old and this was the first time it had started in months so it wasn't too bad. Now here are the problems.
It starts really hard, takes 5 to 20 minutes to get it started, then if I shut it off half the time it will fire right back up, but the other half of the time it takes awhile to get it started again.
What could be causing this?
In some other posts I have said that my brake lights were sticking on, this isn't the case it is the tail lights along with the dome light and instrument cluster lights. I'm thinking maybe a bad ground somewhere?
I don't really know much about electrical stuff so what do I do here?
I haven't driven the thing in over a year so I just want to get it back on the road for the summer.
