hello everyone. i just bought my first mustang. its a 66 with an inline six. i decoded my vin number and just found out it still has the original engine. now i am trying to find out the original color. someone told me to look at the door plate but its not there. is there another way to find out. thanks.

Well, i dont think there is unless you find the build sheet or window sticker which is unlikely.

 

go to:

enter the data from your vin plate (which is actually a warranty information plate I'm told) and you will get some good data including color, where manufactured, where delivered for sale, etc., if my memory serves me correct.
