$1000 for a 302??
Im looking to put in a 302 in my 65 mustang and i came upon this site
http://www.rebuiltenginestore.com/en...ne_5liter.html
theyre selling a rebuilt 302 for $1080, the cheapest i have seen anywhere.
does anyone out there know anything about that site? are they a reputable site? can they be trusted?

Wow that seems like a great deal. I'm getting $600 work done on my cylinder head when I could get a rebuild 200 for $1130 :O
Hmm... for starters, I would click that button to ask them a question and see both how quickly they respond and how well they answer your question.
They do list their address and phone number and say they are a division of S-and-S Engine Co, which I found on the street view of google Maps
You can also click on their map marker and see their 2 reviews. One guy says their great, another says he has had nothing but problems with his engine.

i know some place was charging me 2241.60 to rebuild my 200 with everything brand new.
well with a 50-50 review like that i still have my suspicions, imma give them a call when i have time
My business got a bad review which was in no way related to the problem at hand plus it was full of fabbed information. Customers rarely take the time to leave positive reviews without prompting or close relations to the business. I consider reviews in sites like Amazon somewhat worthwhile but not the general Google or yellowpages sites. Especially without any details. With that said, what are these guys leaving out that makes it cheap? Quality has its price, so what's left out? I'm most definitely not one to quote "you get what you pay for", but I do research those deals that sound too good to be true. This one has a slight fish odor.
