*sigh* another "which head" thread...

Ok, I've narrowed down the field. Got some good prices with my Napa discount, so I'm now limiting my options to a set of new Edelbrock RPM's (2.02/1.60) or a set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Street 2.02/1.60's. I can get a set of Comp Cams adaptor rocker studs that go from 3/8x24 to 7/16x14 thread (unless that's what I've got on mine right now, which may be the case) to accept my current 7/16" roller rockers. Both heads use the stock 1.800" valve spring installed height, so I can swap my cam-matched springs in as well.

The only question left is whether or not I want to spend the extra $70 on the Trick Flows...

So you're saying go with the Trick Flows, eh? *sigh* ok:P

I've still got my nifty Comp Cams adjustable pushrod, and I'll pick up a solid lifter from Summit to check everything when I get it. Even if I wanted to half-*** it, my pushrods aren't even close to the length the TFS heads are going to want.

hmmm. compare head flow data? they are same runner size i believe if you're talking about the rpms (170). from what i can see the edelbrock rpms are 60cc and the TFS 61cc.
if you know your current compression ratio and current chamber size I can run the two of them with your cam through desktop dyno for the fun of it if I find some time ...

Yeah, for upgradable power in the future, a canted valve head is a good idea. Unless you went a step up to a vic jr or 185 head.Plus with the TW, right now you don't have to worry about piston to valve. Obviously check, but 99.99999% says your OK.

Yeah. I'm not really worried about valve clearance with either head, but if CPR says "get this head," that's pretty good motivation Not sure how many other people here have the same level of experience.

I just need to call Trick Flow today and get dimensions on the rocker studs they're running so I can buy a set of 7/16" studs. The Edelbrock tech I talked to yesterday was extremely helpful. Let's hope the TFS techs are the same.

If I decide to order the heads today, I'll probably get them tomorrow. Won't have time to work on them until next week, but it'll be nice to look at them
