Thanks Gun. You've been extremely helpful and patient. I just got a fuel pump and I'm going to try installing that this weekend. If that doesn't work I'm going to just order a new carb and give that a shot, installing a new fuel filter along the way. If that doesn't work... I guess I'll do something else. Thanks again.

 

Well, here's the latest. Installed a fuel pump. This new fuel pump was like the stock one, a bit smaller than the one that I just took off. However, it pump a bit more fuel than the last one - a little more than an ounce a second. Maybe 1.5 ounces/second. Anyway... I installed the fuel pump, tested to see if the system is getting fuel, and it is. However, the car won't start now. It will turn over, but it won't start. I tried putting starting spray in there, and tried fiddling with the mixture screws, turning them all they way in and then backing them out 2.5 turns, but nada. I don't know where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Anyone have any ideas on what can be wrong stalling after 20 minutes everytime mechanic told me fuel injection throttle body ignition coil, spark plugs 1500 dollars later so happy to drive it home exactly 20 min died , called him thinking I’d need a tow she started up I got her home and he wants to tow it in Monday morning. So I had told him I didn’t think it was anything like that I told him I beleive there is a problem in the electrical system I said I reved her up she didn’t skip a beat , you need to check electrical when I came back four days later he convinced me it was the throttle body , I was like are you sure , because nothing electrical is working right in that car , needless to say is he off the hook? Also I drove it around my neighborhood and 20 min died wait started her up again but this time she puttered around a little bit because I didn’t let her sit for a few minutes
