Default Car value

I just found out that my 65 coupe has the original engine and is also a california car. Does this add a lot of value to the car? Im just wonderin'

Only in our minds, Does it have the balck and yellow plates, that brings up the value! We didn't have engine numbers till 68 so just so long as it's the right engine, it will bring up the value to a collector. Just make sure the data matches.

One of the nice things about these cars is that there are so many of them, they can be bought affordably. One of the bad things about these cars is that there are so many of them they can't be sold for very much.

Really depends on the buyer. A restomod buyer wants nice new stuff. An original buyer wants original stuff. So yes, if you sell to someone who wants original, having the original engine in the car would be good. Sell to a restomodder and they would probably want a nice 302 or such in it.
