Oh guess you dont watch much South park

yeah new coil and when you listen to music or do stuff with the engine off use the ACC position on the key (full left) this, if still working will power everything up but the coil.

You can always check with test light with ACC vs On (remember sometimes points are open sometimes they are closed) If you get a light with it in the on position but nothing in the ACC position then you know its always safe to operate stuff in the ACC position.
