Default Engine bay measurements

So i'm about to weld new fender aprons on both sides as well as a new radiator support. Using Cleco pins to hold things in, and trying to lay in the fenders and hood in place to see how alignments go.

Someone recommended to measure the diagonals of my alignment, and it turns out i'm about 1/2" off. Is this critical? When placing my fenders and hood on, things appear to be ok and even.

Should I work the metal a bit? or is this really minor?

thanks

Might want to measure similar diagonals down low and/or some "3-D diagonals" (i.e. upper passenger side @ cowl to lower driver side front). That way you'd know whether the whole front was off slightly toward the passenger side, just the top was off that way, or if the front was somehow twisted.

There ought to be information about body control hole locations available somewhere.

Seems like I recall there are factory dimensions in the Ford Shop manual.
