Default Engine Restauration Holder

Hey

I just went to see the new Tom Cruise movie .. "The war of the worlds" and in the beginning of the movie he drives a beautifull shelby home. When he enters the house then you can see a 302 V8 in pieces in an engine holder. The engine is supported in a framework of some kind.

Does anybody know where you can buy these engine supporting holders / framework ?

Yeah, it's just an engine stand that you can get at a lot of places. Or, if you only need one for a few days, you can rent one. Are you wanting to buy one? Just google engine stands.

Yer looking at around $70. Soaring suggested a rental, but unless you can rebuild over night, I would consider buying one, so you can take your time and take it apart/put it back together at your pace. Even at $5 a day (I have no idea what they rent for), you pay off a new one in a couple weeks of wrenching.

they're called engine cranes or lifts, anyway, any quality automotive supply store will order them for you, but they can get on the expensive side, I'm assuming you are talking about THESE
