I'm running flat tops with 5cc reliefs, 4.100" bore gasket with .039 compressed, 4.04 bore with a 3" stroke and the piston is .006" below the deck, and with a 60cc chamber my compression is only about 9.44:1 If it were 0 decked then it would only be about 9.6:1 and with 0 deck and a 58cc chamber it's still only 9.8:1.

And don't lower compression by using thicker gaskets, it just makes the problem worse. Yeah, you might lower compression by a half a point, but you reduce quench effectiveness which reduces detonation resistance.
DAMN good advice !!

Ive been reading up on quench effectiveness. Looks like running the thicker gasket has the adverse effect to detonation just as 67mustang302 had stated. Had no idea it was so important. Im going to run the 10.8 since the cam was specifically designed for it. If I run into a problem ill address it then. should be fun spinnin it up to 6800 though =)

I bet. I wind mine up to 6200 regularly. It's an awesome, ungodly sound
