Another dead electrical system
Did you check all the wires? Could be its grounded somewhere it shouldnt be. That happened to me before.
Maybe a wire got messed up? Like eaten through by the chemicals.
Could the ignition switch cause the no click issue as well?

what 2+2 meant was:
1. put the car in neutral or park
2. at the starter selonoid there's 4 connections. The small one in the middle on the left when looking straight at it is marked with 'S'
3. disconnect that cable from the starter selonoid
4. run a wire (a screwdriver will do the same) from battery+ connection of selonoid (far left) to this 'S' terminal. The engine should crank over
Don't try to start like that. just come back to us with the result: "it's cranking" or "it's not cranking"
and info if you have auto transmission or manual

O.K. to refresh ( I've been drinkin koolade) You have power at the batt and when you "jump" the sol, it cranks....correct? BUT....other than that, you have no power? That means that the wire coming off the sol (blk/yellow?) is not doing its job.
From your earlier symptoms, it could be that your ALT or reg has bit the dust. I would look at the blk/yel wire coming off the sol (this is where your power comes from for lights and stuff)
Also....look in the FAQ(redux) lot of good info there.

I know exactly what you're going thru...it's the simplest of things that get us. Most wires fail, not at the connector but, at the connection. (where the wire meets the connector) keep that in mind.
I have 1/2 million thoughts on this but, will wait til you get new sol and see what happens.

swap the battery from another car.. its pretty much free and not too difficult. Im thinking maybe the battery you have is supplying 12v but for whatever reason is not able to produce any amps...at least you can rule battery out 100% with the swap. (unless i missed the part where you were able to verify the battery was good) then ignore this

When you say it cranks when you jumper it off of the solenoid, do you mean using a screwdriver accross the solenoid?
If that is the case, then I would think the solenoid or the ingition switch is the issue.
Do you lights and stuff work now or still not?
