new front end changed things
I put a mustang 2 kit on and finally looked over everything and even changing to a lower profile tire still the new wheels I had wont work. So i put them in the classifed section.
Just gotta figure out what to run later on. Dont like stagerd wheels so much, and the hub is to large to fit the 2001 or 2004 mustang wheels i have.
Looks like ill be looking for custom wheels.

I put 1" billet spacer/adapters on mine. That moves the wheels out so the caps will go on the wheels and lines them up with my back wheels, which are also moved out 1" on each side by the Explorer rear end. I have 01 Bullitt wheels from Ford Racing (same as 01-04 wheels, 17 X 8 w/ 5.72 backspacing) with 225/45 front and 245/45 rear tires. Pics on the cardomain pages (link below).
so moving them out you could use bullets? humm...
Had them on there just wouldnt seat to the hub.
The problem with these is the tires are too tall and the wheel sticks out to far now.
need about 5 1/2 back space

I tried some 05+ wheels but the backspace was almost 3/4" more and they were real close to rubbing on the inside in back, and the 235/55 tires were too tall and rubbed in front when I turned. The 01-04 wheels with 1" spacers are pretty much the ticket. They are a little close to the fender lip in front so I am careful when turning. I turned into my daughter's aparment drive and there was a big dip and the tire clipped the fender, chipping some paint. I had it fixed, rolled the fender lips and am more careful when turning into driveways. Actually, about 1/2" to 3/4" spacer on the front would work better, but to use those you have to use longer studs since the adapter/spacers would be too thin and not safe.
