What would a 69' 429 engine be worth?
The one I am looking at comes with DOVE-C heads c9ve-b. He said it is out of a 69' Mustang but it isn't a Boss block.
It will be in my garage in a couple weeks. I plan on a complete rebuild and it will likely be going into my 83 coupe. It will be kept stock except for the cam and alil clean up porting on the heads.
Ive seen non Boss 429s in good running condition go for around $1000 and Boss 429s about $3000 when they are complete motors and all oringinal.

Here is what I got from a little Google search
"The Four Types of 429s
(Thanks to Dan Davis)
First was the base 429, known as the Thunder Jet (TJ). It came in T-birds and full size Fords in the late 60's and early 70's. Typically 360 horsepower. By far and away the most common -- they made 100,000+ of these. Can be ID'd be block casting numbers of C8SE, C9VE, D0VE, D1VE among others and head casting numbers of C8SE, C9VE, D0VE among others."
The site this from.

HTH and you can pass it on to the owner of the heads.

Most likely it is originally out of a 69 t-bird.
