Start with the FAQs. There's a lot of good info there.

Depends on how much HP/TQ your putting out. If it's stock, or fairly close, definately not exceeding 300 you'll be fine. T5's aren't built to handle much more than 300 unless its a T-5z but those are becoming pretty rare. If you want some really good information I'd suggest going to moderndriveline.com Bruce has a lot of good info on his site. You can also purchase from him although I'd suggest trying to scrounge up the parts yourself first, cuts the cost way down. I know I opted for a full C4-T5z conversion for my 67 and I ordered from Bruce, its truly a beautiful beast. Hope this helps.

i read some of the articles on the FAQ's and just want someone to confirm that a T5 off of a '93 5.0 will bolt up to my 289 in my '67? Would i need to do any modifications?

lots of info in FAQ but simple answer is your going to have to buy some parts do some fabrication or just shell out $$$ for a kit.
I have a TKO 500 it fits but was made to fit.
Minwe was bought as a kit from Keisler lots of cheaper guys out there but it fit my needs and works great.
Other guys have had to raise the trans hump to get those and or the 6 speed in.

The short answer is yes. The best years to use are 86 to 93.
