Default Help with new everything!

Hey guys, Just undercoated and painted the engine bay. Time to build everything else!
Looking for a comfortable and smooth ride.

I was thinking the Granada Front disc brake swap from CSRP

Make it new steering from mustang plus

Mustang plus also has the suspension and handling rebuild kits, but I heard they're not that great. Im trying to find kits that include it all, but most don't even include roller perches.

Help me custom this ride
Thanks!

I just bought the oem power disc brake conversion kit from Dennis over at csrp. Haven't got it installed yet but planning to get started on it this weekend. I also need to redo my suspension but that is going to have to wait till I get the brake situation sorted out. I can live with the worn out mushy suspension for a while but the crappy pull to the side drum brakes just had to go.

Get ahold of John at Opentracker racing. Tell him what you want the car to do and how much your budget is. He will set you up with what's best. Don't waste your time with the M+ stuff. Opentracker has the best customer service and answers your questions extremely quick. If you can afford it, look into a set of roller spring perches. Tell him you are on the forum and he will give you a set for $175. Good luck and if you have any questions let me know. I just went through redoing my whole front suspension and steering system.

Thanks Piraya33, I actually contacted OpenTracker a few days before and John happened to respond to my email. And yup, he automatically knocked down the price on the roller perches once I mentioned the forum!

I told him i'm looking for a smooth ride and he suggested kyb front shocks and a stiff grab a track rear shocks. I hear a lot about the grab a track stuff, seems like a lot of people dont really like it. But for a rear I'm guessing it's not as bad?

He also suggested 560 1" drop springs and a 68' style lower arms. I'll definitely get back to him on these, but what do you guys think?

work with open tracker for sure. M+ is ok customer service but I do not like the quality. I use mustangdepot now more misc. stuff. As far as suspension goes open tracker is great. I used a martz rear 4-link suspension myself but thats because i wanted a lil tub job in the rear. I agree with the 560's instead of 620's. I run 620 -1 coil and shelby drop. its a lil too stiff.

I went ahead and got them while I was doing everything else up front. I did a lot of research and I kept going back and forth trying to decide what company to go with. I finally decided on the Street or Track ones from Shaun. They are a quality built piece and I like them because they had the spindle stops built-in so you don't have to reuse the old ones. Shaun was great and he has excellent customer service, just like Opentracker.

So this is where I am so far:

Open Tracker
1" drop template
1/4" Poly coil spring insulators
560 1" drop coil springs
1 1/8" front sway bar kit
Street Upper arms
Roller Perches
Steering kit with roller idler P/S
Strut rod bushings
KYB Front shocks
Export Brace

Mustang +
67 LCA
Grab-A-Track rear shocks

I'm considering 4.5 standard eye leaf to keep the rear at stock height. what do you guys think? Also any tips on rear drums?

How much does your front suspension come to? I thought about doing the shelby drop, roller perches and all that but went with an AJE front suspension. I think I paid 2300-ish from a whole suspension including rack and pinion.

with the 1'' drop spindles and shelby drop I would get the mid eye leaf springs. It will still have a nice rake to it. Dont want to look like a stink bug
