Default dakota dash installed but now wipers.........

I just had my 65 mustang interior completley restored to include a dakota digital dash, everything is sweet, however now when i turn on the wipers they attempt to work but only go 2 inches up then slam back down?? this has never happened in the 21 plus years i have owned this car. Is It Posssible the person who installed the Digital dash cross wired one of the MOtor wires? I really do not want to get under the dash and see , thers no room and its all newly painted thanks in advance

That is a good possibility. If it worked right before, it should work right now. I would take it back down to him and tell him what the problem is. If it is something he did, he should fix it free of charge. Good luck.

I have the Dakota Digital gauges too. How do you like yours?

I'm in the process of installing the Dakota Digital in my '69 and from the electrical connection do not see any connection with the digital dash and your wipers. They could have hit the wiper switch or broke a wire while they were working on the instrument panel. Orginal wires and switch, being 35 years old are brittle and easily damaged. I would check or have the person check the wiper switch and wires.

my guess would be when he wired the gauges up he ran something through the wiper mechanisms making them bind and not have full motion.
