honeslty i dont know much about it, the old man told me that its all original...the 289 the 4spd the the shifter everything

No, you can't. You will have to get one for an '82 and up 302. They were balanced differently than the earlier small blocks. If you try to use the early flywheel you will have a horrible vibration that will take the bottom end out of the motor and possibly wipe out the bearings on the input shaft of the transmission. Very bad.

ouch.....ok well my 289 flywheel cost me 250 bucks....how much is this 302 flywheel gunna set me back.....will i need a new starter and clutch?
