Default Alignment issue?

My '67 'vert has the tendency to follow the ruts or tire grooves in the road. It seems to be more to the left than the right. The wheel will almost pull out of my hands sometimes.
I have replaced the lower control arms with ball joints. sway bar bushings, strut rod bushings and the pittman arm. I have also noticed thefront tires wearing on the inside tread more than the outside. I am running 215/50/16 tires. Is this an alignment issue with something not set correctly?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks
Wayne

I had it aligned. The left side toe was way out causing the abnormal wear and pull to the left.

Wayne, Sounds like your car is all original. My mechanic has told me that many of the old car v6 to v8 swaps were too much for the front member. This would cause flex and more frequent alignments. good luck.

What "front member" are you talking about? The structure of the cars is the same so not sure what you are talking about.

I'm not sure what he is referring to either. I think he means that adding a 1 peice export brace and a monte carlo bar could help with your problem.

How old are the rest of the suspension components? It sounds like something may be worn out.

Has it been lowered or does it have Granada spindles?

Yeah, sounds like you're mechanic is shooting from the hip and doesn't know anything specifically about Mustangs...especially if he told you they had a v6....

It is an origional V8 289 car.

My car has new Discs, monte carlo bar and export brace.

The lower control arms, lower ball joints, idler arm, and strut rod bushings have been replaced this summer. It also has new gas shocks in the front.

I have not done the Shelby Drop yet. I plan to replace the front springs when that takes place.

mine had similar problems. i adjusted it but the caster is off. i dont know of any shop that specialize in classic mustangs to do the alignment in my area.

i saw online somewhere these square casters bolt thingys (sorry cant think of the name right now) that has three holes in them and it allows you to make the adjustments and set it for good without the fear of the stock round ones rotating

You are talking about the eccentric eliminators but they are for camber adjustment, not for caster adjustment. On earlier mustangs, the caster is adjusted with shims on the UCA. On the later ones caster is adjusted using the strut rod.
