Default Should this bother me?

Ordered a new set of springs from Mustangs Unlimited for our 65 coupe. When they are set down side by side, the arch on one spring is a full inch higher than the other spring. I would guess that putting the higher spring on the driver's side would make sense because that side is always loaded with the driver weight. My question is; should they be even height? I would hate to get them on and have the car lean to one side because of it.

A big thank you to UPS for putting stickers all over them as well. It will take me an hour to get all the stickers and residue off of the springs.

Merry Christmas everyone. My son and I are restoring this car and we have learned a great deal from all of you on this forum. Great resource for the home garage mechanic.

I'm not sure about the spring heights, but they didn't even put them in a box??? That sucks about those stickers, very odd haha

Mine arrived just like that, and covered with UPS garbage as well. It took quite awhile to get all the stickers and adhesives off. On the plus side, mine were a little off in height sitting on the floor but installed very even side to side

I wouldn't be too hard on UPS-The springs did get there! However, I would be a bit ticked off at the seller for not packaging the springs-Even a plastic bag would be better than nothing!

Bought a set of 4.5s from Mustangs Unlimited and they were delivered the same way except they had been shipped twice beforehand to other people. What a mess they were! Decided right then and there I'd never order from Mustangs Unlimited again.

I have bought & sold THOUSANDS of dollars worth of car parts over the years, and on the larger, harder to box items....I have just thrown a UPS label on it, and it's shipped!

One of the weirder items I did that to:

TH-350 case.

I just put the label on the top, and set it on the scale...they shipped it!

There are white painted numbers you can see under one sticker, I'd make sure both springs had the same markings before installing (after you get all those stickers off!). I wonder if the stickers add to the integral strength of the leaf?
Mine were covered with stickers also, the probably get a sticker from the supplier to MU, etc. and then one's from them to you, looks like an old travel trunk when you get them.

Are they still different heights if you flip them and lay them eyelet side down with the bow sticking up?

The springs are both marked with the same numbers. If you lay them upside down, one is still a little higher than the other. With a little bit of downward pressure you can level them up. It seems like adding the car weight to them would level them out.

Just for the record, there were 18 stickers in total, 9 on each side. Some came off easily and on a few of them the paper peeled up leaving the adhesive. Put some goof-off on it, then torched it. When the flame went out the rest came off pretty easy.

We are going to give them a shot tomorrow. I will update if it looks crooked shen I am finished.
