Default Coil Spring Installation Help!

I am installing my front Coil Springs on my new upper control arm and spring seat and bushing. how should the spring sit on the seat. There have this little peice on the seat that sticks out a little, is that where teh end of the spring go. or that little peice doesnt matter, long as it sits in the spring seat correctly.

A picture of someone springs would help greatly. thanks

The tab goes to the inside, away from you, and the end of the spring goes to the tab.

You've got it right, the spring end that sticks out butts up against that tab on the spring perch and the tab should be towards the inner shock tower as stated by 65coupester. The flat smooth side of the shock sits in the upper shock tower mount.

The tab can only be toward the inner shock tower on one of the sides, the other side it will be toward the front of the car

The tab should on the rear of the upper control arm regardless but on one side it will be towards the firewall and the other it will be towards the bumper, provided the perches are the same. That should make more sense.

I believe this is correct information, that's how it is on my car with brand new perches and control arms and everything else.
