start up problems

Unhappy start up problems

i have a 68 mustang that in the morning when i start it up, it idle's real high i have to press on the gas to bring it down to normal idle, its got a edelbrock 1406 carb on it when it's warmed up its fine any help as to what it could be or what i could check.

it's the choke setting.

check on page 15Figure 11. open (loosen) the fast idle screw by one turn and see how that works for you

more info on how to correctly adjust it should bve in that manual
