Can I use the bell housing from an 88 5.0? I found a deal : pedal assembly with switches, driveshaft, crossmember, bellhousing, fork, stock clutch cable, center console shifter boot and plate, and other misc. hardware. Dont think I will need the driveshaft though. Unless I can use it? Will the pedal assembly work for me. Or would I have to strip it down and use just the pedal? I have no Idea what to do with it yet, or the best way to install a clutch pedal.

I know I would still need a clutch, flywheel, shifter, and lots more. Help me out please.

The bell housing from a 93 5.0 fit my 302 fine. I cant say for sure but I think its a pretty safe bet that the 88 v8 housing will fit.

You'll need a crossmember specific to your car and I don't know for sure but you will likely have to fit an original style clutch pedal. Everything else should work.

Bellhousing will work. If you can take the driveshaft too in case you don't have the right output shaft yoke. You can use the one off the Fox driveshaft if need be.

Ok. Thanks. Would the clutch work for that year, or the flywheel too? Could that 88 bolt up to my 351? are they weighted?

The flywheel for the 88 should be 50oz balance. My guess would be the 351 is a 28 oz balance but I'm not really sure and that also depends on where you got that 351 out of.

Flywheel will not work. The balance is different. The only thing I would use out of the list you put up is the bellhousing and the yoke. I like going with the stock pedals, equalizer, rods and pedal hanger. To me it just makes it so much easier. You will have to use an early model clutch fork and fulcrum and then get a fulcrum block to spacer it out 3/4 inch.
