Kind of. That's why blower setups run small plug gaps. A larger gap produces a larger spark which means a greater likelihood of igniting a lean mixture(it's easier for a larger spark to "find" transient fuel/air pockets that ignite in lean mixtures). Larger gaps are good for running on really lean hard to ignite mixtures(emissions/mileage mixtures). However, a smaller gap delivers more energy, since fewer joules are lost while trying to jump the gap. So it's a balance between ability to ignite a mixture(or "find" a mixture to ignite within the gap), and how much energy you have to ignite it with.

I'll have to get my LM-1 repaired. it seems to be the cable, not the sensor itself. then I'll do a few WOT runs to see what the mixture is like. I'm going to pull sparkers, clean them. Drive around and see what the mixture is like. will probably post them then
