Look at the bearing retainer plate that bolts the axle in. I know on Wilwood's site they have a picture selector for kits that show what each bearing retainer looks like.

You have to measure your offset. And you have the small Ford bearing, or the big Ford 9" bearing? The retainer is shaped the same, but they're different sizes. You need to be sure, since the caliper mounting bracket on rear brakes bolts to the retainer pattern.

If it came with 28 spline axles, 31 spline axles won't fit unless you tear your rear end gears apart, replace parts and grind out clearance in the carrier. It is almost cheaper to buy a 31 spline rear already set up and sell your original gears in tact. I don't think you can get a 31 spline axle with small bearings, somebody correct me if I am wrong.

the pumpkin has a 3.89 gear 31 spline locking diff, The housing is the small bearing ford 9" rear as I measured as per wilwood specs and the above link. So I can't get 31 spline axles in that housing? Is that what your telling me cruzzar, because I don't have axles right now to check? That would suck

Are you saying it's apart? Or that you don't have axles? If it uses the small bearing then you need to get a small bearing and 31s axles that fit the small bearing.

I guess I learn something new every day. Currie lists a pair of custom axles with studs and small bearing for $460.00. So I stand corrected. Here's a address

Sorry for the scare.
