Default Electric door locks?

Anyone have them? Any suggestions on a kit or components would be great. I'll be putting in an alarm at some point and would like to lock the car via remote.. Plus I dont plan on drilling holes in my door pannels for the lock *****..

I bought a set of 40.00 lock actuators from Princess Auto. The set contained 2 x 5Lb & 2 x 3Lb actuators which was more then enough to move the locking mechanism in the door. Testing the remote allowed me to lock/unlock the doors with the car in the garage about 150 feet down the road. The biggest issue is finding a 'hidden' mounting location as well as bending the supplied rods properly to align with the locking mechanism. Note that 2 small screw holes are required to mount the actuators to the door.

The same kits can likely be found at any automotive store. Nothing high quality about any of these actuators. I tested the 3 and 5 lb actuators and both locked and unlocked fine however I did install the 5Lbs actuators.

Note also that many of these kits automatically unlock if battery power is disconnected then reconnected. Someone wants in your car the simply pop the hood, disconnect the battery then connect it again. Your doors will unlock!

I reversed the wires going to the actuators and now they will automatically lock if power is removed and restored. I'd rather the car remain locked personally. Just a FYI regarding these

Adrenolin, what did you mount the actuators to inside the door?

The actuators are mounted to the inner door panel behind the insert panel. Once you pop on the panel the 2 small screws are not seen. Yes the key can still be used outside. I removed the manual lock rod that pops up through the top of the door however so its actually possible to be locked inside our car.

I didn't know those actuators would be so cheap, I was expecting to see responses of 200 bucks or so. When I get an alarm down the road I'll probably do this as well, it gets really annoying locking and unlocking the doors, especially if I have a passenger. And now my key is getting hard to turn...
