Exclamation JASPER Engines

Anybody ever dealt with this company? Am considering using them to rebuild my engine but wanted some feedback first.

I have a Jasper "Class II 302" that was installed almost 3 years ago now. I probably only have about 5000 miles on it, but I have been very happy with it. I mostly cruise around town. I get into it often, but have never taken it to the strip. I was a bit nervous about using them, but another local restorer had great things to say about them.

Also, worth noting - I simply sent my core back to them. I didn't wait for them to rebuild my block. I wasn't attached to it...

I bought a crate EFI 351W from them with a slight cam and GT40 heads. It is nothing special but has been a great reliable engine for many years now. I also got a crate AOD from them with a slight shift kit for the same Bronco that the 351 crate went in. It is not so great (shift clunky), but I mostly blame the AOD and not Jasper.

I have always heard good things about them. My cousin who is a mechanic highly recommends them to his customers because of the fact that when they rebuild/remanufacture engines they not only bring them back to OEM specs, but many times inprove tollerences over the OEM specs making them very reliable.

Thanks. Good to know. I found out today that in addition to rebuilding, they also prime and paint the engine as well. Good deal!
