Default Is this oil filter broken?

So i picked up a mobil 1 301 filter today at wally world and as I am changing my oil i get to the oil filter part and notice it clangs around if i shake it. Now I don't remember an oil filter ever clanging around they usually feel like all the contents inside are secure yet this filter is not.

Is it broken? If so i'll be at wally world first thing in the morning.

I guess pretty much the question is are oil filters inside parts suppose to be not mounted down to where you can shake them around inside

I seriously can't remember for the life of me if the mobil1 which is full of oil so it obviously doesn't rattle did this or not. I want to say this is normal now that i think of it?

There's nothing in any oil filter I've ever bought that I can remember moving, shaking or rattling.

Broken. Probably the spring that holds the filter body in place came loose.
