Default quick wheel help

Long story short: Will '05-'10 mustang wheels fit a 1969 coupe? I know the lug pattern is correct, and I know I would need to buy wheel spacers, but what size spacers? Thanks

I have 05 wheels on my 67 and needed 1 1/4 inch spacers to make it work. Should be the same for a 69. The front is within an 1/8th of an inch from the upper A arm but it works.

The 1/8th inch doesn't create any sorts of problems right? Oh and I should have specified that they are the 17X8 wheels.

lug pattern?

SO if a wheel is 5 lug it doesn't mean it will always fit?

There are no problems with the 1/8th inch clearance to the A arm. The 05 does have the same pattern as a classic, it is 5 on 4 1/2.

Oh oops sorry haha yea the backspacing is very important in determining if a wheel will fit, there are plenty of threads here discussing the issure

Thanks ponycoupe. So is $460 (including shipping) for a set of four a good deal? I think it is but I wanted to be sure. I've been trying to look locally but there don't seem to be a lot of these OE wheels available. Thanks

Seems a bit much to me. You are going to spend $125+ on a set of spacers. Plus you will need to pay shipping and that won't be cheap. You will need to two sets of lug nuts because the spacer bolts to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. I bought a set of 15" magnums with tires from CJ for about $900. For a little more mony you can buy the wheel of your choice and not have to worry about spacers. I picked up my 05 wheels with new tires for $300 locally. If I had to do it again I would not run 05 wheels on my car I would get something different.

Mentioned previously, the shipping is included in that price. I knew that the spacers and lugs aren't cheap. The reason I'm interested in these wheels is because 1) they fit (with spacers) 2)they look decent (they look pretty good on classic stangs IMO) 3) I need 17" wheels because I want to get 13" brakes, and there are not many inexpensive alternatives out there. I have been looking locally, but most of the 17" OE wheels are the bullit styling, which Im not totally against, but I would greatly prefer the style below.
