Default Air Compressor Oil?

I purchased an air compressor but nobody seems to know what kind of oil goes in it. The manual says "SAE 30 weight non-detergent air compressor oil" but Kragen/Home Depot have no suggestions...

This is the model: http://www.alltradetools.com/catalog...ompressor.html

Any advice? THANKS!

NO!!!!!!!!!!! Don't use a regular automotive oil, synthetic or not!!!! ESPECIALLY don't use an engine oil if you will be shooting paint. Using detergent oil in a compressor that is used for painting can DESTROY a paint job and automotive paint these days is EXPEN$IVE.

Go to anywhere compressors are sold and buy compressor oil. If there is no such place in your area, seek out and buy NON DETERGENT motor oil.

Good luck!

Yes, go to where compressors are sold. Harbor Freight even has IR's brand of non detergent compressor oil. But it MUST be non detergent.
