Default Bad Radiator

My radiator went south on me. Basically I am just wondering if I should go with this radiator. Or should I go with a different one. The car isn a show car, a daily driver, nor does it race. Its basically just a weekend warrior.

How long do you plan on keeping this car? If for a long time, then I would look into the warranties that each set-up will give you, ya know?

I did a google search for you and Mishimoto's site came up. Looks like they came out with a 64-66 Mustang radiator. Lifetime warranty, too.

http://www.mishimoto.com/64-66-ford-...-radiator.html

Try and contact one of their distributors, I bet they can work with the price for you.

$100 to solder on a neck is an outrageous price. I got an original 60's radiator completely redone a few months ago for $50.

I agree. 100 is a little steep. A good radiator shop should be able to clean yours out and fix it up to be in like neww condition aa lot cheaper than buying one though...that's the route I'd take.

Is there another radiator shop in your area?

The place I was planning on taking it to was recommended by me by a family friend who works on heavy machinery. The price was higher because I had tried to epoxy/ JB weld it back together as a temp fix so they have to get all that crap off and then re-fabricate the neck. For all that and more you think it should only cost around $50 bucks elsewhere? this would be the way I want to do it, I would like to keep it original as possible. it still has original everything including the AC compressor.

i'd say as well go to a different radiator shop to rebuild. i'm in a tiny town in ireland and there's three shops I know who do radiators. if you go for a new one you might as well try npdlink since they're in FL ...
