Haha, that's what I'm trying to figure out. Tomorrow on the black mustang I'll be doing measurements, checking the interior under the carpet, jacking it up, checking the underside for anything catastrophic, and hopefully making my decision soon. Personally, I'd rather repair the body on it and use it, so right now that is the plan I'm going with, unless something goes wrong.

Unfortunately, that makes the blue one kinda useless for now. Seriously disappointing in my eyes.
I did get a good fill of experience from working on it so far, so that was beneficial. However, I would like to restore it, in the distant future, hopefully.

Well why dont you restore both then. keep the blue a v6 and a daily driver or make a profit and sell it and the black one for more of a show car?

That's kinda what I'm thinking. I've gotten the blue I6 stripped pretty far, but I still gotta get the motor and tranny out. So I might completely strip it and sell it in parts, or save it for restoration later.

The Black V8 is definitely going to be my main project though.

Alright guys, I originally thought the problem was the gas pump, but I don't think it is anymore. I bought and installed a brand new one today, and not much changed. I did notice a tiny bit of gas made it to the filter halfway between the pump and carb, but hardly any.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if it's getting any gas from the gas tank? Is there a way to check this?

The line running up from the rear could be pinched somewhere.

Ok so I've edited the first post in this thread to reflect the situation at hand, haha.
Anyways, more pics:

Very little rust found so far, which is good:

And thanks for the tip Adrenolin. Since the line is metal, a pinch could certainly come up, which might explain why a tiny amount of gas got to the filter.

Also, i absolutely love you 351 Shelby. It looks incredible!

good possibility that the fuel line is full of rust and crud from the tank.
you can disconnect the fuel line at the pump and use a bit of hose to direct it to a bucket then add pressure through the gas filler with an air compressor -that will soon tell you if the line's blocked.

my suggestion is patch up the black one to get it going and have some fun. then do a turbo 6 over time for the blue one

Good idea, I'll try that.
And I think I'm gonna make the black one a running project, using it while restoring it. And then fully restore the blue one.
