Default Leaking Drain Plug - Got a fix?

My 66 vert gas tank drain plug has a very small/slow leak - mostly just enough to smell up the garage and a put small spot on the floor. Any fix suggestions that are cheaper than a new tank? Thanks

Welcome.
Run it dry, remove the plug and seal it with some pipe dope. Any plumbers supply house should have what you need. Tell them it has to be impervious to gasoline.

http://www.gsasupplyco.com/gaethse.html or as oxnard says. petrol rated 'teflon tape' or pipe dope.

Didn't know there was gas proof tape/dope - will give it a try. Thanks much.

You can use Seal it . You can get it at Autozone and it will never leak again
