What have I done now?

GT500 Clone!
I'm such a damn car ***** I swear.
To make a long story short the '69 is on its way to Australia to its proud new owner in a week or 2.
I'm starting all over again with a '67 fastback I just bought.
This time I'm doing a gt500 clone and I'm doing it right. NO ELEANOR STUFF.
Here's the new beast. Black plate equipped '67 C code deluxe fastback, manual brake and steering car with a '69 "true 4V" 351 Windsor, she runs good but of course needs a complete resto. I think this one is going to get paint and body FIRST, then I can get it road worthy and do all the mechanical and interior myself over time.

If you want to be different http://www.ringbrothers.com/index.cf.../reactor/8.jpg the full kit is pricey but they sell it in parts http://www.ringbrothers.com/index.cf...category_id=80

<<<Yeah I've researched the Ringbrothers kit. It's really awesome quality and very cool in terms of each individual piece of the kit being a work of art. I don't care for the finished product as a whole though. It just seems to clunky and square to me and the edges are too sharp, not easy on the eyes, it just doesn't FLOW. Just my personal opinion.

Have you seen LCC car he shaved a lot of the chrome off and it still looks mean.Another one is http://www.autoworksracing.com/ they have built some really nice cars too.

That will be a cool project. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
As far as the car in that link, its way overdone. It barely looks like a classic anymore. I know a lot of work went into it, but I just don't like it very much.

Just ordered the GT500 fiberglass from Stangaholics in Fresno. They gave me a great deal on the upgraded kit with integral headlight and tail light buckets with redesigned attachment points and nose to hood clearance upgrades. Comes with a 30-day fitment guarantee and a 1 year warp and sag warranty. Not bad.

Kit is made to order and will be shipped in 9 working days. Car is getting paint stripped and sealed here in a few days so I can get started on all the body work and panel fitment.

I prefer the Scott Drake incandescent sequential tail lights. The look more correct for the car. They also flash more like a fluid flow than a stepping action that LED does. They also sequence once when braking like the Cougars and T birds etc. The LED kits only sequence when the turn signal is on. Another think I don't like about the LED tail lights is that when the tail lights are on and the turn signal is on the light goes off in between cycles instead of dim like its supposed to. The incandescent kit functions like the stock lights in that way.
Here is mine. Sorry for the poor video quality.
