Default Headers for a 67

Hello. I want to to buy some quality headers for my 67 Mustang (302). My budget is under 400 dollars. What headers would you guys recommend?

These are for your year mustang, with a 302, and they're within your budget. They're not phenomenal, but they're nice for the price.

Those JBA's are shortys. I've read mixed reviews of shorty's - everything from "they are just as effective as long tubes on a street driven car" and the other extreme of "they provide no advantage over the hipo manifolds".

I just placed an order for a pair of Hedman Elite Hedders. My budget was only ~$300. I had narrowed it down to the Elite's and the Summit Ceramic Long Tubes (new item, I believe). I emailed with two different Summit Tech Support guys to try and figure out who makes the Summit brand headers, but never did figure it out. Funny enough, when I asked each of them which they though was a higher quality header, one said the Summit brand and the other said the Elite. I will note that I've been extremely happy with my other "Summit" rebadged parts.

I will try to post feedback once I install the Elites to help others in the future. Probably won't be for a few weeks.

Good luck.

The reality is that these days a good set of quality performing headers that FIT WELL are going to run you upwards of $600. That's just how it is. Don't feel bad though, some of the newer cars out there, headers can run close to $1,500 for a pair.

MAC makes full length headers for '67 with PS, should fit C4, can't comment on manual (Zbar) as I never asked. They are reasonably priced as even the ceramic coated are ~$400. I'm modding a pair to fit around my AOD now but they are sturdy pieces:

Suppliers may have them cheaper.
