Default Help with Kickdown Installation!

I just recently installed a new 4 barrell carb and I had to buy a new throttle cable and kickdown kit from Summit for install. The throttle cable installed fine, but when I went to install the kickdown I was missing the old one so I've got nothing to go off of, which leads me to believe it isn't necessary. I would like to have it either way though. So I connected the lower bracket where the old one was, and I know the top of the cable connects to the carb which is the easy part. The thing that confused me was the bracket in the middle of the cable, that can slide up and down and I can't find a place to mount it. There's nothing on the transmission free now that I already mounted the bottom bracket down there...I really don't know what to do with it now...any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Since you are using non stock parts I'm not sure anyone can help you without some pictures.

Alright I will try to post some pictures. I did go to this mustang restoration shop and they sold me a very expensive kickdown rod about 3 feet long and said that would work so I have to try to work that onto the carburetor somehow to see if it will fit.
